My scale modeling interests are primarily 1/72nd a/c from 1914-1945, and also armor from the same period in 1/35th and 1/72nd.
My re-entry into scale modeling was driven by two things:
- My hobby/avocation/vocation of reenacting and living history which I participated in off and on for 30+ years. I saw scale modeling as a means of reproducing history when I was out recreating it in 12":1' scale. Starting the late 1980's I was a member of the ALARNG with an 11B MOS, and later the KYARNG as a 19E. My WWII reenacting and my part-time military service really got the armor juices flowing, but . . .
- In 1994 we purchased our fiist PC and the first program I purchased was a flight sim. This spurred me to want to build the a/c I 'flew" in the PC world.
