I am 67 and have been building models since I was 10 . I build mainly large cars when I can get hold of them , they are extremely hard to get here . The largest and most highly detailed thing I have built is a 40"inch Tug , fibre glass hull and scratch built everything else . Took 2 1/2 years . I build everything on my kitchen table , a little challenging but a bit of determination helps . I have back problems , so I have to plan everything , well , it's working so far .

Besides , tug , I have also built a 1/12 scale 57 Chev , I love doing the fine detail. I have also built the 1/8th Big "T" ,several square riggers ,ie the Victory , the Constitution and the very large Soliel Royal , a beautiful ship but no were to put it lol so that one got sold . I have 2 unfinished projects ,...one is a 1/24th Merc , and the 1/12th 2010 Shelby Cobra . I didn't use the suggested colour , I used a Mitsabichi perl based maroon topped with 2 coats of clear ,..........looks magic , I'll let you know how the rest comes out.
