In the beginning of the 50's, the Swedish Air Force purchased sixty aircraft of the NF 52 version to replace their aging J 30 Mosquitos. According to the Swedish military nomenclature, the Swedish Venoms were called J 33. They were used as day/night fighters all the way to 1960, where they were finally replaced by the home-grown SAAB J 32 Lansen.
This kit from Dragon (marketed under the brand name Cyber Hobby) is actually the NF-3 version of the Venom, while the SwAF used the NF-51 customized version, so some differences are unavoidable, such as ejection seats in the cockpit, which the Swedish version did not have. But unless you are a rivet counter, it should be a reasonably close approximation. The only thing I will replace is the decal sheet, as the national insignias provided in the kit are grossly oversized.
