Just finished this model. Yes, it's terrible in fit and detail, but I didn't take it too seriously and just used it as an opportunity to practice. It was the first kit I had built since I was a kid and it turned out pretty nice! Had a lot of fun getting the decals on especially.

This is one of the worst model kits i ever bought. It's actually a shame that it's still sold.

I haven't seen the new boxings for Airfix's ' Vintage Series' yet, but this kit definately qualifies...

I have the unfinished model. A lot of scratch and putty. But I think the worst is the cockpit. Canopy not have uprights.
It is best to run away from this kit and purchase the one from KP or SBS.

Good to see the Grosvenor House plane back on the shelves but this kit desperately needs a new tool. Takes a lot of filler and patience to make a good looking model. Old Frog/Novo versions a better bet for a decent build.

Nice to see the real one has flown again. I totally agree about the quality of the kit, very basic, lots of flash, but a beautiful aircraft!

Absolutely! I'm sorry I missed it fly yesterday but I'll see it soon.
I'd like to hunt down one of those Aerotech 1:32 models of the DH.88.
