Well, I tried panel accent coloring on the SU 27 project, and I am afraid that I failed miserably. From what I have found out, you are suppose to dab a tiny bit into the seems so that it spreads throughout the panel. I didn't do that so that is that. I will finish this flanker. The base color is sky gray (tamiya) and make an attempt at camouflages, but I am afraid that the model is already ruined. Live and learn.

The landing gear has the main carriage but no support beam for either side. All other flanker kits have two strut landing gear. I posted a copy of the instructions that came with the kit and I have to say they are, to a great extent, useless. There are no numbers next to the parts so I have to hold the tree next to the parts inventory to figure out what is what. There are a lot of parts that fell off the tree, so I am having to guess what they are. I know that Ukraine is having a difficult time, so I am continuing this model despite the lack of quality. I am also going to do something weird, I am going to take pics of my model and put it on the wall.

1/4 through the project. Wings needed serious putty work. Nose landing gear support was broken so I will be trying to fit it in two pieces. Also have a trumpiter version of this kit, and used their instructions to fit the nose landing gear correctly.

6/6/22 I started this aircraft a few days ago. There are some definite issues with this particular kit. First, there is a lot of flash which makes having a sharp exacto knife is essential. The instruction are not that clear, which is fine, I am making it work. But, what I can't understand is why ICM did not number the parts on the spruce trees. Another issue is with fitting guides. Most models that I have worked on in the past had slots, holes or pins to dry and final fit parts. This is not the case here.
Well despite all of the shortcomings, I am enjoying the process of construction.
