This is one of my "fetish" kits, I had so much fun super detailing this very low quality kit, that I bought another one. Let's not kid ourselves, they are very low quality. But with a huge amount of effort you can turn them into something quite good. A real challenge. If you don't want to bother, bet the 1/48 airfix kit, the new mold, which is superb without the effort.

Another top of the hobby quality kit in the new mentality at Airfix. Nice clean build. If you screw this one up, it's your fault.

Oddly enough, the mold quality is utterly basic, yet you can get a nice clean build out of it. Don't bother scratching the lines, it won't look any better than this shiny/matt/satin finish. An enjoyable build.

Although this kit is big and fits well, if you don't add an important amount of extra detail to it, it looks boring. So just keep fooling with it until it looks good.

Ultra precise, well detailed kit, easy clean build, don't forget to weight the nose, I didn't.... You need to airbrush this build to get that shiny red look. Airfix new mold, well worth it.

These new generation airfix kits are sublime. An excellent fit, and fine detail. Quite difficult to paint the canopy properly, but with other techniques you can do it ok. Pretty much perfection. Well done Airfix, (for once)

Very early kit, nevertheless a good mold. Fun little build, lends itself to extra details.

Huge. Not very interesting as a build, but hey, it's a passenger plane it doesn't do anything else that could be considered "interesting". Got a second one for sale soon.
