Thank you Mark K. I found the model very detailed with many small parts. Some of my alignment was a bit off but I felt a sense of relief when the model was completed. It was a somewhat unusual model that our IPMS chapter president was selling and I thought it was worth a go.

Ho Ko working with metal kits always brings their own issues. Hubley and JLE Scale Models have a lot of flash and I found a small 3" metal nail file worked really well cleaning the parts up and then I soaked them in vinegar which helps the primer bond to the metal. I was encouraged by a model railroad friend to build these cars and I had a lot of fun doing them.

Thanks Bozzer. It is for a club monthly contest coming up on Villains. Elsewhere you will find my Joker Goon car. Harley Quinn (Dr. Harleen Frances Quinzel, PhD) a former psychologist who fell in love with the Joker during her internship at Gotham City's Arkham Asylum. She has transformed into the Joker's villainous accomplice Harley Quinn. Her relationship with the Joker is known for its abusive and codependent nature. Harley Quinn possesses multiple superhuman abilities, having won a gymnastics scholarship at Gotham City's Gotham State University. Harley Quinn is skilled in using various weapons, often employing weaponized clown-themed gag items, including pop guns, rubber chickens, and a gun that shoots a boxing glove, as well as oversized pistols and mallets, the latter being her signature weapon.

Ben M thank you. The Atlantis models have been fun to build, simple and inexpensive. My only complaint is the scale sizes. I built according to directions which advised to not paint the outer skin of the aircraft and I do find it has a pleasing appearance.

Thank you Rui S and Martin Oostrom. Y'all need to check out my '55 Chevy Bel Air Street Rod. Building the AMT was quite a bit different compared to the Revell. The '55 is a good looking car and I am glad to see people interested in these models.

Someone suggested bogie wheels or helper wheels, but I haven't located any parts like that. Sure the back fender is large, but it is the same on the AMT/ERTL

Curtis, you can easily make that. The information is in the instructions, for the Can Do Wrecker. It's a walk in the park, if you have the wheels and tyres/tires???

They are both very different models. The truck has a lot of cab detail but not much to the hauler part which only required paint and decals. The hood didn't set right, and I made a support piece which worked out pretty well. The funny car dragster had way too much chrome which required a lot of scraping, and the instructions specified that many of the chrome pieces were to be painted. Instructions were unclear about some of the parts, and a few had to be relocated to make it all work. Why can't they show us what it looks like after the parts are attached? I am a visual person and that would be more helpful than an arrow pointing at some spot. I don't actually track my time on the models, so it is hard to say which actually took longer, but the complexity of the purple body with yellow fins and painting of the chrome framework on the Mad Magazine car certainly made it feel like it took longer! LOL

Yeah, Curtis. I can relate to your observations and conclusions. Some kits I've built give the courtesy of a picture of assemblies after the part is in place, but it is all too rare! As for chrome parts, just yesterday I took apart a chrome sprue to keep some of it chrome, but to treat the rest with oven cleaner for de-chroming. It's actually a snow plow, with the same cab as your auto hauler. I might post the build on this site after it's complete.

Thank you Mr D, Bozzer, Istvan Szucs and Neuling. The Ford C-600 is not one of my favorites, but this is a kit I had wanted to build and found it at the local IPMS chapter model swap. More details could be added if I wanted like the stakes could be a different color or framing the windshield in chrome, but I am calling it done. This is my second C-600 with the first one being the trash truck which was in purple like the trash truck from Oregon.
