Thank you, I think this is my favourite build so far. The base Ebbro kit is fantastic and the small customisations required for the Monte-Carlo Rally version we very satisfying.

Picking the colour was quite interesting because there are only about 3 colour photos of this car and given the age of them it is difficult to tell what the original colour was. Looking at other models, people have picked colours ranging from bright orange to almost tan brown. I didn't take a photo of it but I did try various different mixes of paints on the body work. In the end I thought pure Tamiya copper (XF-6) looked the closest to the original.
The base Ebbro kit for the road car (Citroën DS19 (Ebbro 25005, 1:24)) is excellent. It has a great level of detail especially on the engine. The opening bonnet and door are really nice too. It even has adjustable ride height on th rear to model the hydropneumatic suspension. It all fitted together easily. I don't think the kit is still in production unfortunately I managed to track this one down on eBay from a model shop in Japan what would ship it internationally.
The Renaissance decal kit (Citroën DS19 #176 (Renaissance TK24/422, 1:24)) was nice too. It is obviously just a few decals but it did come with a colour print out of the photos of the car.
Given the rally cars of this era were pretty close to stock there wasn't too much modification required to the kit. I removed the wheel trims and the wing mirrors. I customised the brake lights as the kit had slightly different ones. I added the extra driving lights which were actually included in the base kit. The extra fog lights beneath the bumper are from a Mk1 Ford Escort. Then just a bit of left over seat belt for the bonnet strap finished it off.
