Certainly not building the F-35 anytime soon myself, but happy to be a "loyal wingman" to your efforts!😉

😄 Maciej - I haven´t seen the KH box specifically, but had a look at the Meng one in a store and thought - "oh, what a compact kit, is it really 48-scale?" 😄

3,5 years later, I pulled this one out of the shelf of doom. I was now three months cycling the Eat-Fill-Sand-Sleep-Repeat routine. This thing is terrible! Not a single part fits to another! Literally, not one!
So before I'd throw it in the bin and feel bad about it, I decided to finish it.
I tried to assemble weapons out of the box and guess what - they look like turds. Rockets and bombs alike. So Res-Kit 3D printing farm came to the rescue and I bought JDAMS, AMRAAMs and Sideys as prints.
Pylons did't fit to wing of course, so there was more cutting and sanding to make them straight and level.
What else didn't fit... don't ask about intakes, I butchered them.
Horizontal stabilizers have this weird angle - but will not fix it.
Rivets on the radar absorbing surface are also funny 😄. Let me prime it first, then decide how to fill them...

That's it, should be a walk in the park from here on 😄 😄 😄

Did some progress on small parts today, am recently combining RC markers with regular lacquers, when painting requires complex shapes and small surfaces. Ideal for bombs and rocket fins.

OMG! That kit looks like a horror to build…. I love your build log - but your bird is coming together real well, so keep up the good job!

I got this kit when I appeared that it was the only F-35C in 1/48th till Tamiya came out with theirs, so I'll have to decide if I will go through the frustration, or just sell it…

Just sell it, CaptGPF, before you start it. RAM shapes are totally wrong, fully missing APU near the left stabilizer, around cockpit... wrong, wrong, wrong.
If I weren't that deep down the hole, I would've binned it and bought myself a comforting Tamiya.
