Hi! I have a question concerning this Revell kit. I'm looking for a decent 1/72 P 47 Thunderbolt 'bubbletop', and I wonder if this kit is any good? Or should I go for the Tamiya kit (60770)? Is the Tamiya kit really a Tamiya or is it a reboxed Italeri?

Hi Guy! Can't say much about the Tamiya one, but this Revell kit is really good! Nice engraved details, no major flaws.

Yep, one of the better P-47's on the market. Don't know about accuracy because I don't care, but it should be a perfectly buildable model. The Tamiya kit is a genuine Tamiya mould and is also very very good. My advice, build both of them 😉

A fellow club member is currently building the Tamiya 72nd scale P-47D Razorback and it looks awesome, no extras needed, beautiful cockpit OOB

This kit is a real gem, and in France 3 times less expensive than the japanese kit
So unless you don't want a late-production Jug, go for the Revell kit: you won't be disappointed!

Guy, take the Revell-One. I build it last year and the fit and details are great! Dont need to say that the decals are great, too! This kit is a fast and clean build!

Btw, the canopy is moveable and interiordetail is wonderful. I only added a harness, thats all.

Ok. I'm convinced now. I'll buy the Revell kit because the 'evidence' is overwhelming😉

Tamiya vs Revell... Its not often seen that Revell wins! But ins this case its deserved!😢
