How big a that thing? Looks like it needs an extra desk to put it on. With F-14s, what era is it? I thought they were retired. Should it be all F-18s?

Oh and of course, what Neuling said - beautifully done, those planes in 1:350 look amazing, love the aggressor camo on some of the F-18s, S-3 and A-6 in their most beautiful scheme - excellent work 🙂

Hi, the kit is 1/350 scale, so about three feet long, the ship I updated to her current configuration, as for the air wing I chose what I feel was the best and most effective combination of aircraft ever on a carrier. Currently she probably operates mostly F-18 and F-35 ( I'm not a fan of the F-35).

And if there are any of you out there building carriers, I found a lace material at a fabric store, I used it for the safety netting around the deck and elevators, I thought it came out pretty good.

Finally after 18 years, yup that’s how long I’ve had this kit, I have finally finished the 1/350 scale Trumpeter kit of the USS Nimitz.
The only problem was I didn’t like the era so I made her as she is today with the air wing she should still have today!

Just one thing, I still need to finish the deck tractors and other vehicles !
