Egg-104G Starfighter

First step, as usual, rescribing the panel lines. Out of the box they seem a bit soft, so sharpening them a bit will help during the painting process.  

In order for the Retrokit set to fit, some of the original attachment points need to be removed. 

The Retrokit set seems, after some filing and sanding, to be fitting ok.  

Cockpit ready for some paint.  

First layer of H317, followed by some lighter shades by adding drops of white.  

Cockpit tub details. Partly decals from a 1/72 Hasegawa kit, partly painted.
Once the seat and canopy will be installed not much will be seen. But iat least it won’t look empty, and that’s the idea.  

Not the best fit in the world for the top part. Also the base of the tail requires quit some puty.  

 

With the seat glued in place, cockpit is completed. 

Canopy glued in place, required a bit of putty around the edges (Vallejo platic putty), so nothing major.

Fuel tanks dry-fitted. Really looks like a shrunk One-0-Four now ?
