Help - does anyone have an idea?
I used the black primer Mr. Finishing Surfacer 1500 black for the first time. This does not hold well on the plastic in this model (see photo no. 4)! The masking tape pulls the primer down, as shown in photo no. 4 with the drop tank.
I have often used the light gray primer (Mr. Finishing Surfacer 1500 gray) and have always achieved very good results and have never removed the color from the model with the masking tape.
My approach is basically always the same. After sanding the sprues, I cleaned the parts with an old toothbrush with water and a little dishwashing liquid. Immediately before priming, I wiped the parts with a cloth soaked in gasoline. Then I sprayed the primer (in a 1:1 ratio with the thinner Mr. Color Leveling Thinner 400) onto the model.
I'm worried this could also happen when painting the hull - which would be a disaster!!!
Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be???
