MiG-21 Dot Snow Camo

Made a simple wood base for the model. This kit didn't have any cockpit parts other than a pilot. I just painted the inside of the cockpit area blue-green and black to hide the white plastic inside the fuselage. 

By this point, I had already painted the plane a dark grey, then masked off the splinter shapes and painted it white.  

 

Painted the base black and used an engraver to engrave the name, then painted the letters in. I just wanted to experiment a little nothing fancy. 

This is a really simple kit with not many parts at all. Especially since I did not use the landing gear.  

The finished dot snow camouflage. Got this camo idea from Battlefield 4. I had just painted the clear gloss over the model so I could add the decals next.  

 

 

The finished model. This kit was a fun small project which I finished in about 5 days. I am happy with the camouflage, especially since I don't have much experience with painting them. Overall, not a bad kit!
