Italeri Hawk T.Mk.1 - 4th FTS 2001

Why not build two British jets at the same time? Hawk started.... 🙂
Wasn't sure about the build order, but I am changing it...doing the PE first.

And then I totally forgot to document more of the build. Although you didn't miss a lot, since it is a Italeri kit you know... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyway: all masked up and ready for primer 

Been down with sciatica for a solid week, but finally felt well enough to do some airbrushing and lay the main coat down: Tamiya X18 semigloss black, so it'll have more glossy finish (like the original) after the final varnish 🙂 

Next to the Buccaneer that's also nearing completion with both of them having most of the detail painting done here. 

So, as expected, the Hawk overtook the Buccaneer build. Decals are on, so next stop: sealing it all in with clear coat and finishing all the small bits and the canopy. 

Devised this cunning little canopy support from a piece of paperclip.... ;-P Now all that remains is finishing that canopy itself.
