AJ-102

Finished this yesterday. Fujimi kit out of box with ancient Detail and scale decals.  

I used the F-14A plus/F-14B kit but it still has all the -A bits. 

I also tried to correct the canopy hinge line. I removed the two tabs that don't exist on the real plane. 

AJ-102 160403 did not have the fin stiffener plates fitted at this time. I noticed it during decalling looking at the photos on the excellent instructions from Detail and Scale. Too late for me then but if you are building this aircraft from a Hasegawa or Academy kit use the earlier fins. Interestingly, AJ-107 160390 did have the plates fitted so use the later fins for that. 

Really happy with this model and to now have both in the collection.
