Er... Dr.I and quick build seems like a non sequitur...

Thanks for your comment, the scale 1/72 helps to make it quick as well as the Dr1 lack of wing rigging. But quick is always a relative term sometimes a simple project escalates

I thought "Quick Build" was a thing of legend. I've never seen one. - at least not one of quality. Good luck. Looking forward to watching you master it.

Album info

I will build quick out of the box using brushes as much as possible with Vallejo paint this is the first post showing the kit.

As the album shows I completed the photoetched cockpit including the seat and seat belts and inserted them into the fuselage halves. I also test fut the mid wing. If I did it over I would forgo the etched cockpit as the plastic inscribed detail on the mold would have been easier with proper painting and easier. The photoetch is not really visible at this scale.

Painting using Army Painter brushes and Vallejo paint. The olive streaking used by Fokker was simulated dry brushing olive over a base of ivory. The dark yellow was applied with an airbrush and appropriate masking
