Yea the lighting on the star wars model is pretty cool! Quite a few models were lit up with LED's i plan to do a few myself. I work for a company that makes lighting products for film, TV and concert use so i'm always raiding the rubbish for scrapped PCB's and bits some of the SMT LED's are only 1mm or 2mm in size that model was lit from the inside with loads of fiber optic cable! and blue LEDS in the engines!

Yes the Lancaster is 1-72 scale too! One of the most impressive models i've seen at the comp over the last 20 years!

Some really great models. Love the lightning on that Star Wars cruiser. Shame there was no pic of the Belgian Mirage 5 😛

The Melbourne event is light years ahead of the Brisbane QMHE and with the new venue for next year, I just hope there will be more to see. Wonderful examples of the modellers craft Glen and beautifully documented. cheers 🙂

Album info
Well it's that time of the year again. The biggest event in Melbourne the EXPO as before it's run from setup on Friday to the Queens birthday holiday on Monday. Held in the Members function room under the grandstand. Sandown Racecourse is the home to both a motor racing track and horse racing track! Anyway enjoy the pics! I don't know who owns what or what got an award. Look at the model EXPO site for that info!
