Mike Kryza autorI'll try to build my BF similar to the vehicle seen on pic two. Without a Balkenkreuz and a modified front lightning. The BF shows probably brown patches on the grey ground but I decided to paint it only in grey...😄 (not the easiest color...🙁😢 - Beim Bau orientiere ich mich ein bisschen an Bild Nr. zwei. Geänderte Scheinwerferausführungen und ohne Balkenkreuze. Augenscheinlich braune Tarnflecken werden ich nicht aufbringen, sondern das KfZ in grau belassen.

Btw: the newer kits from trumpeter are great, PE included, verry good sometimes great details and fitting. The only thing that can be criticised is that it's quite challenging to remove (especially smaller) parts from the sprues, without damaging them.

Mike Kryza autor@Fabian - you are right - Trumpeter kits are like day and night! But in this kit the little pieces are well molded. Until yet the parts fit unbelievable good. But you must build very clean.
@Ricci - surely the BF is ready! - Hope we can bring some more new models to FN.

@Keith - thx a lot for your comment. Yes, the fit is very good indeed. One of the best kits Trumpeter produced. There is only the necessity in changing some parts of the flak, because the gun was used only against ground targets, never against planes...
But I will show the changes. 😄

The Bunkerflak was only used against ground targets and not against planes. So all AA-typical equipment was not used.

Btw - I forget something. The handwheel (J63, Step 24) must be a double ones. Trumpeter forget one...😢

I`m impressed about the relative large amount of details!
Could be a project of interest, to finish a model of such a half truck naked. Means only the presentation of the chassis and the engine with all those amazing technique.
Your colour modulation is very impressive. Breaks the monochromatic paint finish a lot.
A nice clean built of an interesting half truck model.
Surely it was very impressive when this huge canon made a shot from this chassis.
There was no spindle for 3 or 9 o clock shots?

A grey painted model is always very difficult for me, but I hope this will come to a good end.

Der Höhenrichtbereich war auch relativ gering. Sobald ich die Infos wieder finde (merke mir mittlerweile auch nicht mehr alles😢) stelle ich sie noch ein.

Fabian D.Die Fahrzeuge waren zum Beschuss von den Bunkern der Maginot-Linie und anderen Erdzielen gedacht... deswegen auch Bunkerflak. Einen großen Seitenrichberich braucht man da eigentlich nicht... denn normalerweise laufen diese Ziele nicht weg😉

Holger KranichAllerdings sieht es so aus als wäre das Ding auf der normalen Mittellafette der Flak 18 montiert und die war um 360° schwenkbar, laut dem Lexikon der Wehrmacht. Aber da bin ich nicht soooo Firm drin, deshalb höre ich ab jetzt nur zu und lerne!😢

The BF saw service in Poland, France and Russia, the last ones were lost in (probably) Russia in 1943.
Seitenrichtbereich: 5° - Höhenrichtbereich: -3° up to 15° (Habe meinen Notizzettel wieder gefunden. Frag mich in einem Jahr, da habe ich wieder alles vergessen😢)
Sicher kann ich mich auch irren, aber die Ausführungen in den diversen Quellen erscheinen mir doch logisch... Und wenn Dir was wieder mal keine Ruhe gibt, dann kannst Du mich auch anrufen. TelNr. hast Du und ab ca 19.00 bin ich meistens zu erreichen. 😄😄😄

@Frank - In the beginning of their life the vehicles are looking relatively neatly and clean - an I'm not a fan of heavy weathering...;)🙂. But you can have a look on the BF in FN - I don't forget it!!!
