The construction of this tank is fun pure. Until no all parts fit very well. No putty is needed. The next step is the assembling of the tracks.

I hope you'll have fun till the end with the kit of this tank, who arrived too late for WW1 and was too old for WW2...
24 April 2014, 09:15

😉 😉 😉...but they should be blank, where they touch the tracks... (even if you can't see it after assembly...) 😄 😄 😄

No way... And what about the pleasure of doing everything right, even if it can't be seen in the end? 🙂)

im glad your building this kit i was hoping someone would and with the positive comments so far i think i will have to fork out the money for this one

Cool Mike I'll catch a ticket. Take a look at original pics. The skirts seems to be often not installed
24 April 2014, 23:54

Haha... that thing looks like a boat... the French Navy is coming!
Looks good so far, I will follow this build, highly interested in these Meng kits.
Any missing parts or was everything included?

After attaching the road wheels (there is absolutely no need for paintiing) I tested the fitting og the tracks. Perfect!! 🙂
26 April 2014, 06:47

With the tracks on the monster looks like... a big monster... 😉 Nice progress!
26 April 2014, 17:24

@Matthias - All what you need to build the Char is included in the kit.
@Frank - Thx, the tank is really a monster...
@ --- After attaching the PEs and the MGs the Char will become a first layer of grey primer.

Hi Mike this one seems to be a quicky. You`r fast as lightning.
28 April 2014, 17:32

@Vorya - Thx - I hope I have some new pics tomorrow.
@Christian - Harald show me the way! 🙂 He build his Char in two days.

Da werden sich bei 'ner Ausstellung die Leute drum"charen". Bin mal auf das Finish gespannt.
3 May 2014, 08:24

Cool Mike, du haust ja richtig rein!
Hab mir die Rohre von Lionmarc jetzt dafür bestellt.
3 May 2014, 08:28

Jetzt muss nur noch jemand die Decals für die restlichen 7 Char rausbringen, dann kann man alle 10 bauen... 😉 😉 😉 Zeit für 'ne Riesenvitrine...
3 May 2014, 11:00

thx a lot mates.
Actually I stopped. For the finish, pinwash and so on I need some comfortable hours. This will take time.

Beautiful job on a gigantic tank. I like the designation "super heavy" on the box title.
4 May 2014, 02:23

Looking good, Mike! Hope you'll get your "comfortable hours" soon. I want to see the finish... (and probably copy it..., who knows.. 😉 )
4 May 2014, 11:38

Hi Augie, hi mates - thx a lot for your nice comments. Sorry for the late answer, but today we exhibit in a little event in Leipheim. (Was possible to look at SCM, but could not write...) Meet some mates and spent some nice hours with them.
-- And as I wrote in the introduction this is a very good kit. One of the best kits I've ever held in my hands. Not cheap - but it's worth. 😉🙂
New pics will be uploaded after my "comfortable hours" but this may take some time.
And Frank, you can nearly copy what you want... 🙂
4 May 2014, 17:53

This is a really great kit. I built one myself, photos are online too.
4 May 2014, 20:19

I saw this pile of metal yesterday, and I must say that it looks even better in real life! now let him even go through the dirty brittany! 😄 👍
5 May 2014, 09:05

Thx - not yet ready - Patience please... 😉
@Jonns - thx. Sometimes pics are better and somtimes real life is better. 🙂

Album info
Infected by Haralds Char at Wangerooge this kit was a must have for me. 🙂
The parts are really sharp, no flash no ejector sets. The kit is for me comparable to kits like Tamiya ones.
The suspension is really a little bit simple and shows not all details, but fortunalelly the suspension could hide under the skirts. (Many pics show this fact.)
I decided to build the No. 97, straight from the box. I only mixed the assemly steps for an easier assemly.
