Very nice little scene Mike 👍 I have been hearing good things about the Master Box kit and it seems to be true from your experience. Are the tracks simply rubber band style? Your detailing and weathering really bring the 1/72 kit to life. 🙂

Thx Alan - the tracks are simply rubber bands and it need a lot of time to trim them. The pics are not good enough, the weathering is nearly invisible... 🙁

🙂🙂🙂 - Btw - one of my other hobbies (together with my wife too) is working on our modelrailway in scale 1:160... 😉 ...and the day has only 24 hours! But it could be possible to make another trip in 1:72!
21 September 2014, 18:53

and get a little micro RC heli and re-enact your favourite movie sequences 😄

Na geht doch!
@Choppa: If You would know Mike you could be sure that there will be another 1:72 model.
Mike and his wife Marina are living for modelling!
21 September 2014, 19:08

Analogously it means I have too much hobbies 🙂 - Oh and I made some years ago a trip in the RC-world. It was a Heng Long Tiger I, totally rebuild... ...and now it's a dust collector. 🙂🙂🙂

Well, Choppa is it always a pleassure to meet them both.
Take a look at this link: igamf.wordpress.com/
You will find a lot of nice models made by Mike and Marina and their Mates joining the same club in southern Germany.

The model and the display are fantastic 👍 but the scene itself misses a figure to bring life into it.
22 September 2014, 05:51

Thank you mates.
Hi Acki, I was surprised by myself too - 😉;);)
Ulf, yes indeed - you're right with the figures, but I have not one in my stash.
22 September 2014, 15:43

Hi George - thx - it was a relaxed glueing(?) Try it - it's a kit for in between.
22 September 2014, 16:06

it is nice to see more WW1 coming to the fore
and yes I thought this was 1:35 at first Mike 🙂
You'll have to get Marina to do some figures for you 😉
22 September 2014, 16:35

Yes, indeed. I'm waiting for the upcoming Skoda Howitzer realized by Takom. And for some lorries... Let's see!
22 September 2014, 18:01

Well Mike, the Skoda Mortar is on my wishlist as well. As far as I know this one was used in both worldwars.
22 September 2014, 19:24

@Burkhard - it's really 1:72... 🙂
@Christian - You're right. I think this will be a very interesting kit. Den werde ich dann sicher zwischendurch bauen... 😉
22 September 2014, 19:37

Klar, wenn der Bausatz dann verfügbar ist wäre es ein schönes Projekt.
22 September 2014, 19:41

I'm bussy on the same kit, you did a hell of a job. I did you make the underground??
23 September 2014, 06:03

Jo mei, wos seh i denn hier? 1:72? WWI? Mike, you didnt took your pills, ha? But leave them away, this male tank looks awesome to me!😄;)
23 September 2014, 06:22

Ahhh... somtimes it works... (I've got always the message "invalid request" - crazy)
@Holger: des hoast net "hier" sondern "do". And I take my pills all day... 😉🙂🙂🙂
23 September 2014, 17:29

@Kim - Making the dio is easy. (Hope I find the right words in englsih)
The ground is a styrodur or styrene panel. The first layer is realized with a structure paste (fine) from a "hobbymarket".
At first I modeled a little "landscape" followed by a layer of quartz sand and pigments. In this mixture I pressed the tank, protected the tracks with a foil. Next step is the painting.
Let it dry. Then I glued the tank and added some more sand.
For glueing sand, pigmente and so on I used always Scenic Cement (Woodland, under distribution from NOCH).
A little wash and drybrushing follows... ...and that's all. Greetings Mike
23 September 2014, 17:38

Album info
Ok - 1/72 is not really my scale, but this kit from MASTER BOX give you a lot of fun. Detailing is really good and if you work carefully you need no putty. The worst thing are the rubber tracks... - they need a little bit more work...🙂
Colours are from Vallejo and AK.
