Johan Hammar autorGordon: It's the DC-3 that was shot down by the Russians over the Baltics in 1952. The wreck was found in 2003 and salvaged in 2004 and is now on a spectacular display at Flyvapenmuseet, Linköping, Sweden.

Spanjaardi did not know the story behind this plane and the Catalina. thanks a lot for the information. quite that story. who knows how many others have similar fate.....
