This is the 2007 Revell mould. The fit of the parts is incredible!

Hi Norm: I'm building this one and Airfix's too simultaneously...I concur, the Revell kit is super!
I intend to make the Airfix one into a Canadian pilot's ill-fated training flight that crashed in our village Jan-45.

Thanks Norm for this very detailed build, for a novice like me this is like an instruction manual. I've got the Revell one too to build in my War Memorial Collection. Agree with Andy- please give us the nav-lights knowledge 🙂

On the subject of painting the nav lights on this model, the Revell kit has separate clear parts for the lights so I paint the wing recess silver and let it dry for a few days. The light lens is placed with acrylic adhesive that dries clear and then I use Clear Red and Clear Green from Tamiya or Mr. Hobby Aqueous, usually two coats. If a model does not have clear parts for the light lens, I paint the surface with Testor's German Silver Metallic Enamel and let it dry well, then over coat with Clear Red and Green.

Neuling, the model is now on display in the home of the family of the Navigator who flew 51 missions in this Lanc, about 800 miles from where I live, so I can't take any more pictures of it. I might be able to get a shot of it in their house, I will check if I have one.

Is it just me, who read "Remember the airscrews"?😉 Another brilliant build Norm, makes me bit more confident to open the box with my Lanc.
PS. Great masking hint indeed 👍
