F-4J, USS Ranger

Needed some filler on the flaps and the part with the catapult attachment. First PE-parts in the gear well 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Opened the first intake of the aux. air intake 

 

 

reinforcement plates not needed on this a/c 

Seat with (most) PE-parts attached.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Walkways were painted with a flat brush, not airbrushed. As the kit had only the grey ones, I had to do them myself. Came out nicely, but some minor touch ups needed.  

Gloss cote is on 

 

Stainless steel brushed over the rear part, the hot areas with dark iron.  

Before and after polishing. Looks great! 

Rear part completed.  

Added the first decals. They went on nicely, thin carrier film (a bit large, it pays off to cut the decals to size), and go well into the panel lines.
