M4A1 autorA small update on this one. Bought a set of Bronco T48 workable tracks and a set of duckbills. They are gonna replace the plastic belt type tracks I already started painting.
The Sherman has had it's first layer of paint: grey primer.

M4A1 autorPainted the Sherman in it's base colour. A mix of US light green and green zinc chrome of Vallejo Model Air.

M4A1 autorGood question Olivier. The answer is quite simple: I painted the Universal Carrier I'm working on with a mix of 2 types of green which works very well on the Carrier because there's a layer of black paint underneath. So I painted this Sherman with that mixture too but because there's a layer of gray paint underneath it turned out much too light this time. I mixed US olive drab with US light green and adjusted the base colour. Now it's good enough to start wheatering and to start painting the details.

M4A1 autorAdded a couple of pics of the Sherman with different stages of wheatering on different sides of the vehicle. Still alot to be done. Just to give an impression of the progress so far.

M4A1 autorAdded rain stripes to one side of the Sherman. First time I've done those. Turned out not too bad. Goal in the end is to have a pretty battle worn vehicle.

M4A1 autorIn the process of painting some parts of a Panther tank that I'm gonna add to the base near the rail road track to give the impression that a Panther's knocked out there. The surrendering German will be passing the parts.

Mathias DecommereVery good progress! I also saw a D-day gun emplacement in the background, do you have pictures of this one as well, or is it not finished yet. Very curious!
