April 7, 2022I just build the Zvezda early, so now Trumpeter's later. Oh, look, a single piece lower hull....2
April 7, 2022Very straightforward build. Got so busy that I forgot to take more photos.3
April 7, 2022The kit includes single link plastic tracks and I always seem to end up with a half-link gap.4
April 7, 2022Once I got over the heart attack of seeing the track pins, I learned to like MasterClub. I think they clean up and assemble faster than Friulmodel. But they were hard to find in the best of times and now..... Friulmodels were my first metal tracks and I still like them (and they are way easier to find).5
April 7, 2022Perfect fit.6
April 7, 2022One hundred links a side with just a little slack.7
April 7, 20228
April 7, 2022Things are coming along nicely.9
April 7, 2022I was going to fashion hand-holds out of brass wire but I'm all out.10
April 7, 2022Festooning fiddley bits. (Note the big long hollow trench in the unditching log.)11
April 7, 2022The texture on the plastic is nice but.... Yes, that is a chopstick.12
April 7, 2022Way better.13
April 7, 2022There are a couple of mounting bar thingys between the exhaust and the oil tank. At least in the pictures I found.14
April 7, 2022I added an R-113 antenna mount because I didn't have an R-123. I plan to update this when I can find some. I may replace the DShKM as it is a weak point of the kit. Just about done (need to add the tow cables).
