Question mates: has anyone fabricated wheel flares for a model before? Can a 1/24 auto guy help me out here?

have you tried using milliput (two part epoxy)?

Hey all - still working on the Benz I'm not feeling this one I've been pottering about trying to build wheel flares - epic fail on the plastic tube will try milliput next. I flocked the car floor to make it look like carpet - it looks so-so.

Maybe blend both a thin strip of styrene plastic card to arch around inside wheel opening and use milliput to make the flare (off fender/panel) it could be as wide as the strip of styrene .. my WIP requires wheel well flares also this is what I'm going to try 🙂

thanks for the tip Mona - I'm going to try the Milliput first - if that fails I will do as you advised - I don't know what it is but I'm not feeling this one. Maybe because I have so many other personal things happening that model building is not on the priority list. Anyways I will keep grinding.

Hello mates!! Merry Christmas and happy new year it's been awhile for me between posts but to be honest I have not been inspired these past few months. I am determined to finish my Benz wolf in 2022. Hope all is well and full of food.

Hey Mona good to hear from you. I wish you the best for the holidays. It was much easier painting the horse and lady than the car. I gave up on the wheel flares coz I wanted to finish before the end of the year.
