@Freak; the nose was airbrushed with Vallejo Air red. The base colour was an improvised mixed pink; about 4-5 white with 1 red.

FreakThank you! I will definitely use a pink base too in my first big patches of orange. Orange parts have been disastrous so far (brush painting vallejo acrylics directly on grey primer).
