Hispano Aviación HA-1112 Buchon G-AWHO 1969
"Achtung Hurrischmitt!"

Due to the acute shortage of Hawker Hurricanes, for a single scene in the movie "Battle of Britain" three of the Buchons were painted to look like Hurricanes of a Polish Operational Training Squadron:
"Bovingdon, visited on Oct 16th by roving reporter Bill Brookes, produced six Me109's plus three with RAF roundels and most of the upper surfaces oversprayed dark earth in camouflage pattern, pale blue undersides, black spinners and a red band on the leading edge of the wing inboard of the cannons. These 3 aircraft were coded MI-V,T and S. They are identified respectively as G-AWHJ, L and O, c/ns 171, 186 and 199."

I build the 1/48 Hobbycraft kit back in 2010. The spinner and the steel templates for the codes were drawn from a photograph using SolidWorks and 3D-printed and laser cut respectively.
