First Spitfire

I got a gift voucher back in October from Airfix for my birthday, using that and my points I got myself a nice Spitfire 1:24 model... I am holding off doing that one though until I have done a few more smaller models and tried to learn how to paint better. I have a fair collection of models to go at at the minute several of which are spitfires. I got this one to see how Revel kits compared with the Airfix ones, that way it is always an option if I spot them on sale.

Messed up straight away with this one as I decided to try my hand at using the air brush and undercoated it in black, I was tempted to try cleaning it off and starting again but instead I have gone with it to see what I can do, its all a good learning lesson either way. 🙂
