Aichi H9A1 was a seaplane used for training, rescue and ASW patrol
in 1944-1945 was used fron Takuma Kokutai in the Setonaikai area,
south of Kobe and Awaji island.
I wanted a model of one Takuma Kokutai seaplane.
The kit from Planet is of the first production from this czech house: it is necessary to build from scratch the cockpit interior,
from the original plans found on the web and in japanese books,
because the canopy is large and very clear.
I discovered that the connection struts for the large wing is
a real nightmare: therefore, after long challenge, I suggest to anyone to join first the struts to the fuslage with epoxy fix.
Only after you see the correct position and angle of struts,
and well dryed, you can install the wing in the good place.
The joint under the wing could be corrected with putty anda sanding, at this stage, but the joint in the fuselage is clearly
in sight and need a carefully work.
You need to place one antenna at the center of the wing,
with forward angle, to place the radio cable between
cockpit anda tail: before is necessary to open a hole in the
center of canopy (with the cable, before to join the canopy
to the fuselage).
