many years ago, my first resin tag, the Accurate Miniatur P 51 A in the Canada version, I love Ultracast 😉

Finally got some time at my bench again. My private life and work have been getting in the way big time....the Corsair is all but built now and after some more sanding (yes even on Tamiya kits) I can contemplate the colour...
I want it to look look slightly worn, so I was thinking a satin coat instead of a gloss coat. In one of the pics I attempted to overspray the blue with the same colour mixed with a light grey (and mixed down a little) but I find the effect is too subtle...will have to try that again.
I'm building it with one wing up and one down so now I can experiment a little with the finish on one wing....wish me luck!

Hang in there, Wim! I´d love to see you Corsair roll out of your hobby room! Are you planing to give it a wash with light grey? Will look cool, i think!

yep and I have some light grey pigments rolling around here somewhere I hope too simulate salt with that...

selected the markings.....masking the canopies and off the the paint booth it is...

gloss coat on...on to the decals..panel wash and then some weathering...but first we wait for the gloss coat to harden
