I started this kit many many MANY years ago. Didn't get much done, but made a mess of the cockpit. Took it apart as much as I could.

The kit doesn't provide much detail for the cockpit, and what is there is grossly incorrect. I tried to stretch some sprue to build the interior framework, but decided it was easier to fork over the $4 and buy some Plastruct rod.

Cockpit framework completed. Not as hard as I thought it would be, and doesn't look too bad.

Finished the cockpit, except for seatbelts. Started on the cabin interior.

First time I have used Mr. Surfacer. The bottom of the wings and fuselage is yellow and black stripes. Hoping for an easier and better yellow coverage over the moulded dark green plastic!

Two coats of yellow on the bottom of the wings and fuselage. Looking pretty good, but will do a light sanding, one more final coat, and then will mask for the black stripes.

You've done quite a lot of improvements on this model. Is the light on near the end yet?

Finished the camoflague, got two coats of Klear on. Decals next, and then final assembly!

First completion Of 2015! Relatively large model, more than double the wingspan of a Spitfire. Now I need to get ahold of a Horsa, a Hotspur......
