Re-grouping in the Ghost Roads: Laundryverse diorama

This project is a fan-fiction representation of characters from science fiction author Charlie Stross’ Laundry Files and New Management book series, informally known as the Laundryverse. The series premise is that there is an occult variant of British intelligence service MI5 which deals with threats from horrors from other dimensions, which have been multiplied by unintended computational demonology brought about by the IT revolution. The New Management series then deals with what happens when a lesser demonic entity takes over the British government.
The aim of this diorama will be to portray a number of leading female characters in the series regrouping in the Ghost Roads between parallel dimensions, having hijacked a UAZ-3909 military bus which has been reused (and repainted) by Russian occult special forces and an M113 armoured group carrier which has been customised for the US Postal Service, an American occult secret service which competes with the CIA’s Black Chamber.

Paul Eden autorI have adapted the Omnibus passengers kit to this project. Theyre not very good models but they'll do: lot of flash, lot of filling, not that much detail. Although the painting on the faces in particular is poor, it is still the best I've done!
Paul Eden autorThe Zvezda 3909 is my first kit from the brand. It's excellent: easy to put together, very little clean up and really quite lovely detail. Look at the undercarriage - really nice. Needed superglue to stick it into the floor of the minibus though. I weathered the nice yellow floor but I've since resprayed it a clean yellow because it just looked nicer.
