As I was building the Cobra at work a guy in the office saw me and said he had something I might like. He was moving house and his wife had told him he was not taking everything with him. A few days later he put this 1:32 F-14A on my desk and said "it's yours if you want it".

The plan is to adapt the Eduard Big ED set for Tamiya and a couple of figures from Master Details.

Built the Cobra over my various Lunch hours at work and plan to do the same with this one. With the extras all ready on there way I now need to decide a colour scheme for it. The decals have discolored in the box and there are some nice decals there for this scale.

That was nothong compared to the 1/48 Revell B-1. Between the ages of 13 and 15 I would make a 1/32 scale model every school holiday. I would save for months to buy the kits. Had about 7 of them. All brush painted. After that my interest in modeling got distracted by other hobbies in 1/1 scale. Only started again about 2 years ago when my youngest son showed an interest in the hobby.

Thanks Gareth. Looking forward to see the finished Tomcat. I'm sure it will turn out great 🙂 I've seen this kit offered at fairs and have been tempted to buy one. Just needs aftermarket decals because they have gone yellow and brittle with age.
