After a long search among all built VIIC/41 boats it will become U 300, because it has an interesting history:

- also had successes to show, which was relatively rare with the 41er boats

- built at Bremer Vulkan in Vegesack (I have lived in Vegesack near the former shipyard for a long time)

- relatively well documented boat (including eyewitness reports, as it was not lost all hands)
