I love vintage models.

I live in the mountain's of north Carolina. I have built models for 45 years. some day I hope to get good at it. I took a ten year brake from building, but I have jumped back in.
I had to move my dad into a assisted living apt., he sold his home, and has I was moving him, in the top of his closet was a Hasegawa model kit. A-1 Skyraider 1:72 I took it home. it sat there about 3 months. Then I built it, and now iv got it bad...
there is no hobby shop that's not a 40 mile trip away, so I buy mostly on-line.
I build anything. My wife of 33 years has supported me in this, we have 3 grandkids and I am trying to pass this hobby on to them.
When I was 11, I went to visit my granddad, we went to town and he got me a Monogram Bearcat F-8F 1:72. he helped me build it.41 years later I found that same kit on EBay, got it and me and my grandson built it. its the bearcat in my profile pic. next to the skyraider from my dads.
