First major tank battle in Western Europe in WWII. The French mechanized cavalry delayed the German advance between Brussels and Liege, but the German main effort was crossing the Meuse behind them. Somua S-35 #59 was knocked out in the fighting on 13 May 1940, and its commander killed in action.
