More inspiration off TV, this time Twin Turbo's with their Shop rod custom Van - A 1960's Ford Econoline van with mid-mounted engine.
So here is my take using an Italeri Ford Transit van with mid-mounted V8, resin front and rear independent suspension, Resin Recaro seats and resin door mods to create an 80's / 90's custom van. Oh and a custom built chassis as well (I hope)

What can I say ? I got a load of resin parts for Christmas and a lot of spare time when I'm working night shifts looking for inspiration. Funnily enough I am on nights next week and I have a couple of G-Wagon kits.....

I'm still chin scratching over the paint scheme for my Tranny........ I'm leaning toward gold flake graphics, maybe flames, over Pearl White

Can't get more retro than mesh Recaro's in a Ford. That paint job sounds amazing. For my Transit I think just primer maybe some odd coloured panels. I remember seeing custom vehicles in grey primer all the time.
Having said that, red primer looks just like the matt paint jobs that are trendy at the moment.

When I was about 11 or 12 a local guy in his early 20's had a bullnose 350 Firebird, he painted it grey primer & then put a wide gloss blue racing stripe straight over the car, it looked great!
I remember it had Pro-Tracs on Appliance slots😎

Same here. I remember a guy having a heavily customised Bedford CF, I think it had a V6. It sat on the drive in it's primer for months and I passed it to and from school. I can even remember it getting a maroon paint job once !
