X-Wing Fighter: Mercenary Fighter Edition!
When the kit is junk, you take creative license!

This kit is a great example of snap fit kits of its era: poorly molded with terribly fitting parts. Still, I was determined to build it!

I built it as part of a group build on Herbert Erpaderpt's Discord server. You can find info on the group by seeeking out Herbert's videos on YouTube.

Given how...not good the kit was, and the yellowing of the decals, I was never interested in attempting to make a screen-accurate model with it. So instead, I reimagined it as a junkyard heap found and repaired to spaceworthiness by a mercenary pilot named Esme Choon. Together with her astromech droid affectionately known as Blingbling, she takes contracts to pay off her debt to the Hutt that financed the restoration!
