Personal interest:
This model represents a F-16CG Block 40 Fighting Falcon as operated by the 79th Fighter Squadron from Shaw AFB, South Carolina, which was also the headquarters for Air Force Central Command. These aircraft were dedicated to the strike role, and as such, they were required to operate out of Kuwait. During my tour in Operation Southern Watch, these were the primary aircraft dedicated to executing precision strikes on Iraqi facilities and ground forces associated with chemical munitions.
