Personal interest:
This model represents the F-16C Fighting Falcon Block 30 aircraft flown by the USAF and ANG in 1996. The F-16C was an excellent multi-role aircraft and was sometimes assigned to fly strike missions against Iraqi air defenses and ground equipment. Many USAF and Air National Guard units rotated in and out of the theater during Operation Southern Watch. I selected a F-16C of the 174th FS from Sioux City, Iowa out because of my childhood affinity for the unit, when they frequently flew A-7D aircraft over my family home.
