Personal interest:
This model represents a S-200 Transporter Erector Launcher (TEL) operated by the PVO during my Alaskan service with the US Air Force. Just before the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1990, the PVO was operating over 2,000 S-200 launch sites. With a range of nearly 190 miles, the S-200 was a serious threat to high-value assets operating near the Russian coastline, particularly the RC-135 aircraft operating from Alaska.
