Personal interest:
This model represents a MiG-21MF flown by the Iraqi Air Force during my service in Operation Southern Watch. Iraq had 115 MiG-21 aircraft available, making it their most numerous type of aircraft in their inventory by far. However, they were rarely seen flying, probably due to a variety of issues with the age of the aircraft and its vulnerability to coalition combat air patrols.
