Personal Interest:
This model represents the HH-60J Jayhawk flown by the US Coast Guard. During my tour of duty at King Salmon Airport, USCG HH-60J pilots flying out of Kodiak Air Station would sometimes request aviation weather support, particularly when operating in the Bristol Bay area. Likewise, during my tour of duty at Patrick AFB, USCG HH-60J pilots flying out of Clearwater Air Station would occasionally request aviation weather support. The USCG used the HH-60J for search and rescue missions, maritime patrol and drug interdiction.
