This looks really good. How did you do the mottling for the scheme? I'm working on a heinkel 219 that uses a similar pattern

Hi Chase - make sure you have planty of reference photos to the scheme on the aircraft that you are building. The process I used is as follows: 1) airbrushed the base coat, in this case Light Blue (RLM76), then used a clear gloss coat to seal the base coat. 2) I used a coloured pencil to lightly trace the 'wave lines' over the aircraft - referring a lot to my reference photos. 3) I used Grey Violet (RLM75) to make the wave lines - I did this free hand using my airbrush. The method I used was spray very close to the surface of the model and follow the pencil lines that were done in step 2) - my best advice is to take it slowly and do a little section of the model at a time. I also started my spray first on a piece of paper towel close to the model then carried onto the surface of the model - I found this gave me a more cosistent line. Also, if you make a mistake - quckly wipe off the affected area with a damp piece of paper towel (hence why we have the gloss coat in step 1) any mistakes with simply wipe off and you can start again. Oh and be sure sure you use acrylics as they wipe off easily if you do make mistakes. Hope this helps!
