Personally, I could definitely live with Academy's like detail...

You are right, Revell is unusable, CMK is too thin and small, unusable too, so the only two possibilities are:
1.) Academy, which is overall good, (little bit mediocre on today's standards 🙂
2.) ResKit, which have better way of detailing - I will use this on my model
