This was the first kit I ever built. This was in the 70´s and I built it for my grandpa who was observer during the war and used this plane.

I must admit I was a bit surprised with the interest generated in this model so as a consequence, I thought I'd better make a start. I hope I can do it justice. Internals are mainly Vallejo Model Air RLM02.

Fuselage now together with tail plane added. Wings now together. I'm probably going to paint the wings and fuselage separately before adding the wings. 🙂

I just had an issue with the Montex mask for the 1/72 BP Defiant. The masks for the turret canopy refused to stay stuck to the canopy curve. Have you had any issues?

It seems to be an issue with Montex masks where there is curvature, I've had the same issue a number of times. The main thing is to make sure the canopy is super clean before adding the masks, that tends to help a bit. Sorry I couldn't be of more help Monte. 👍

Camouflage mottling added using Vallejo Model Air RLM71. For the band, I used Vallejo Model Air insignia white. I've not used the OOB scheme and have used other photos for reference. 👍 Next will be adding the underside colour.

I now declare the HS 1236 completed. The decals were very old but they went on albeit with a little silvering. The wing was the hardest part to put together but I think it turned out OK. The aircraft denoted is from 2.(H)/Aufkl.Gr. 14 stationed in the Middle East during 1941. 🙂

Hi Cuajete, it is the same for me, once posting I periodically check to see who has kindly given me a like and make a note. Most of the time this works but sometimes not and then I have to thank a mate as one other or two other mates.
