USS Robin - commencing the build

The island and funnel have the wrong shape, this is the last specimen of WEM´s resin correction set 

My first attempt at creating a more realstic quarterdeck. The problems are waiting higher up. 

I tend to prepare my bases were early in the project 

The cut for the PE stern gallery is made, the hull has been built up with Apoxie Sculpt - now it´s time for the saw 

My first attempt at creating the correct stern, the too low cut has been filled. 

So far, so not too good. 

Two moths later, the project is continued. A resin copy of a radar lantern from another kit is made. 

The 4.5 in turrets received brass barrels, originally intended for the IJN cruiser Nagara
