Mike, I built the same kit. I can tell by the funky shape of the drivers side tail light frame. I had a friend in high school who had a 69 SS 396 4-speed. He let me drive it. I kept accidentally starting in 3rd gear but it had so much torque it would take off anyway.

Cool,, I'll look for it in your albums.. I built it a long time ago, before I now realize "Factory Correct" The Black Rockers were a '68 thing,, not '69.. Oh well.. It's had wheel change since I first built it

It's also a pre-foil build.. What do you prefer? I stopped painting trim after the masking kept pealing off the the clear coat sometimes,,, too often lol

Obviously solution would be paint trim then clear. But I still like the foil results better anyway

Mike, Once I found both BMF and Future floor wax. I have always done both. Silver paint simply is not realistic enough. Now I have a chrome Molotow pen and Testors "wet look" clear. But... I have had unpleasant results with clear coat sprayed over aftermarket decals. I need to do some testing on hoods
